1957 Topps #95 Mickey Mantle Card

Over the course of his 18-year career with the Yankees, Mickey Mantle was selected to 20 All-Star Games, won 7 World Series, and was a 3-time AL MVP. In 1957, as Mantle won his second consecutive AL MVP, Topps released a set that established many popular features of the modern baseball card. The 407-card set was the first to measure 2-½” by 3-½”, which became industry-standard, and featured full-color photographs of the players. Rally’s #57MANTLE is a 1957 Topps #95 Mickey Mantle card graded PSA 8. As 1 of 277 examples at the grade, there are just 38 graded higher out of more than 5,600 examples in PSA’s population.

During the 2003-04 NBA season, the Lakers had arguably one of the most prolific starting lineups in NBA history headlined by Kobe Bryant. That same season, Upper Deck released its Exquisite Collection, which was distributed in $500 five-card packs and signaled a new era for basketball trading cards. One of just 100 examples produced, Rally’s #03KOBE2 is a 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Patches Autographs Kobe Bryant Card graded BGS 9. The card is autographed by Kobe, features a game-worn jersey patch, and is one of the top 26 examples graded by BGS, with only 7 cards graded higher.

Wayne Gretzky is arguably the greatest hockey player of all time. Debuting in the NHL for the Edmonton Oilers at age 19, he eventually set NHL records for most career points (2,857), most career Hart Trophies (9), most career assists (1,963), and most career goals (894) while being selected for 18 All-Star Games. He’s certainly earned his nickname “The Great One,” which he was given at just 10-years-old dominating the youth hockey circuit.

After being chosen as the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, Tom Brady arrived in New England as Drew Bledsoe’s back-up. But after a 2001 hit sidelined Bledsoe, Brady took the reins and led the Pats to a Super Bowl, the first of six he would win in New England. Rally’s #00BRADY is a 2000 Playoff Contenders #144 Tom Brady Autographed Rookie Card graded BGS 9. As Brady’s only recognized autographed rookie card, just 15 examples have been graded higher than #00BRADY by BGS.

1909-1911 T206 Honus Wagner Card

In 1909, the American Tobacco Company began to include baseball cards with its cigarette packs as a promotional item. The T206 series included 524 players, 76 of whom would go on to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Honus Wagner, widely considered to be the greatest player in baseball at that time, objected to the use of his image shortly after production began. As a result, the company only released around 60 copies of the card. Over one hundred years later, the scarcity and rich history of the T206 Honus Wagner has truly made it the “holy grail” of card collecting.
